Yup, I'm proud of my kids today. Sometimes it's just the slightest thing that happens that makes you smile and think...gee, I'm proud of them today. Something that
maybe other people would not even understand but it happened with both Dalton and Phoenix today.
Dalton had a field trip today to a rock quarry to go along with their studies. They did not take a bus so the parents drove. I was wondering why, until we got about 2 miles away, it was dirt road and glad I had the Expedition. It was raining slightly, big piles of rocks for the kids to dig thru. They had tools there, all of the kids grabbed little hammers and shovels. Once Dalton got tired of climbing, we
started our digging, he disappeared and came back with a sledge hammer. Everyone that really knows Dalton, knows this is right up his alley. I was digging (all the other mothers were talking LOL) Dalton is hammering away with all his might. I look up and these 3 dads were just laughing at the 2 of us...and said wow...that kid knows what he's doing, he's worked before. I said yup, he can swing a mean axe too. We were both muddy, wet and happy and found really cool crystals.
When I picked Phoenix up from school, she said "mom, guess what happened in 1rst period". She went on to explain, this boy who she has had a few classes with came into class with tons of cologne on. Everyone was like "what's up with you". Then one of the boys commented "he's probably high". End of story "boy gets sent to the office". I asked her what she thought, she said, he was really nice but I'm very disappointed in him, I thought he was different from that. Mentioned a few other things. Made me very proud that she disagrees with his lifestyle, and so happy with the decisions she is making right now.

About Me
- sandyseabunz
- Life is full of dreams and prayers and I just hang on by the seat of my pants. I feel so blessed by our family and adventures. Never getting too comfortable..you never know what turn is in the river. When we moved to our property I had no idea the effect it would have on our lives. There was a quote in one of the local papers describing our area "I lived in paradise and then died and had to go to heaven".
