RUSH

Friday was a rush day....forcast was looking at cold temps and possible snow. It has been reasonably decent temps here so I have left the apples on the trees, better than trying to store them. After taking the kids to school I started picking, burr it was so cold, it was about 40 but the wind was howling, bone chilling howling. I've never picked apples so fast. The trees were loaded this year and I kid you not I have been eating 5 apples a day. We have about 1 tree of every kind, still can't tell you half of them but they sure have been good.

Sat. Gabe was going to work but decided against it, so we loaded up the car and went to the Christmas Tree farm. On the way it started snowing, that has never happened to us before. Put us in the mood, thats about the only time I really miss the snow. We cut down our tree, grabbed hot cocoa and headed back to decorate. It started snowing harder off and on through the night. Woke up this morning to 4 inches of snow. Kids had a blast playing in it. Gabe went duck hunting and now the cold is headed our way. We forgot about our goldfish in our front fountain and had to rescue them by chipping thru the ice, poor things. It will be interesting to see how many school days the kids actually go to school this week.

We just got hit by the snow too. I think we got 6 inches today. WAHOO!! It's about time.
Glad that you kiddos like apples. I think I would be making an apple pie a day if I had that many apples. How awesome.

About Me

My photo
Life is full of dreams and prayers and I just hang on by the seat of my pants. I feel so blessed by our family and adventures. Never getting too comfortable..you never know what turn is in the river. When we moved to our property I had no idea the effect it would have on our lives. There was a quote in one of the local papers describing our area "I lived in paradise and then died and had to go to heaven".
